ELCO 014-3 Rock Splitter Plug & Feather Lube Paste In 12 Half-Pint Cans Has Been Formulated & Tested To Use With The Hydraulic Splitter Plug & Feathers & Will Withstand The Hundreds Of Tons Of Pressure Generated On Their Sliding Surfaces. Use Only Elco Lube With Plug & Feathers.

Use of other lubricants can damage the cylinder seals due to increased friction of plug and feathers
An inferior lubricant can shorten life of the splitter.
A substitute can greatly reduce the splitting force of the tool caused by an early bypass before a break is made.
